PASTORAL STUDIES
(M.Div.)

The Seminary’s flagship program is its Pastoral Studies program, leading to the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree. The program requires completion of 45 2-credit courses, or 90 semester credits total. It can be completed in three years of full-time study or six years of half-time study. Pastoral mentoring and in-church ministry training are required components of the program.

Designed for current and aspiring pastors, the program includes advanced studies and mentorship in Bible, theology, and practica essential for preaching, teaching, counseling, and mission ministries. Studies in biblical Hebrew and Greek are required. Pastoral mentoring and in-church ministry training and other supervised learning experiences are also integral and required parts of the program.

The Pastoral Studies program operates at the Master’s level. Therefore, a bachelor’s degree-level education (or its equivalent) and relevant academic transcripts are required. Admissions requirements include the recommendation of the student’s pastor and the support of the student’s home congregation.
